We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we keep it safe, and how you can control it.

What we collect

Mailing lists. When you sign up on this website, we collect your name and email address. We keep two separate lists, and you choose which one you join:

  • Seven Sisters Group news: occasional news about our performances, workshops and projects, a few times a year at most.

  • ChirpNEST Artist Mailing List: news about ChirpNEST artist residency retreats and workshop intensives.

We only email you about the list you signed up for. Each sign-up is confirmed by email before you are added.

Messages. If you email us or message us on social media (for example Instagram or Facebook), we use your details only to reply to you.

Website statistics. Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which collects anonymous statistics about visits (such as pages viewed and approximate location) and uses cookies to make the site work. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your name and email address to send you the news you asked for. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who processes it for us

Our website, sign-up forms and newsletters run on Squarespace, which stores your details and sends our emails on our behalf. Squarespace may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where it does, it uses the safeguards required by data protection law. You can read Squarespace's privacy policy at squarespace.com/privacy.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with anyone else for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from the list. From time to time we also remove addresses that have not opened our emails for a long time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have the right to:

  • see the personal information we hold about you;

  • correct it;

  • ask us to delete it;

  • object to or restrict how we use it;

  • receive a copy of it;

  • withdraw your consent at any time.

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. For anything else, email admin@sevensistersgroup.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
