Choreography and compositionA choreographic workshop for dancers/students interested in exploringcomposition and refreshing their own creative resources. A movement warm-up is followed by improvisational processes and solo/group compositions, allowing participants to find their own expression of movement and develop their own language of dance. Site-specific choreographyA choreographic workshop with focus on site-specific choreography.Susanne directs this workshop for dancers/students drawing on the vast experience she gained in producing and touring a series of diverse site-specific projects for seven sisters group. The students are guided through the specificities of location work, the thought and working processes and choreographic steps involved when placing a body / a piece within a 'site', rather than a theatre. Considered are architectural, socio-economic and historical implications/associations, audience movement/integration, design and the ongoing exchange between studio and site during rehearsal time (depending on location and spatial availabilities). |
